This library is free, carries no advertising, and exists to put old knowledge back within reach. If there is a work you think belongs here, tell us about it.

What we can accept

Works in the public domain — in practice, first published before 1930, or an author who died long enough ago that rights have lapsed.

Also works still in copyright whose author gave permission to pass them on freely. Some writers released their work with a notice granting free non-commercial distribution; if the book you have in mind carries one, say so, because we can host it. What we cannot host is a book that is simply circulating widely without its rights holder having allowed it — that is the line that keeps this library able to exist.

If you are unsure, suggest it anyway and say so. Checking is our job, not yours.

Year, even approximate. This is the single most useful thing you can tell us.
A link to a scan or text — Archive.org, Project Gutenberg, sacred-texts, a library catalogue. If you only know the title, that is fine too.
A sentence is plenty. It helps us judge whether it fits the collection.
